Ruth Wong
Ruth Wong is the director of the Boston Education Collaborative (BEC) program at Emmanuel Gospel Center (EGC) in Boston, MA. The BEC focuses on a few areas of work: 1) Networking and convening churches and Christian leaders who are engaged in urban education/youth development work for the purpose of forming learning communities, 2) Supporting, strengthening, and replicating church-school partnerships in Boston and other urban school districts, 3) Providing technical assistance to faith-based programs, and 4) Engaging in systems-level work through various city-wide working groups or movements that impact the educational experience for urban students. Previously from Taiwan and Chicago. Ruth and her husband, Regan, are also volunteer staff with InterVarsity's Asian Christian Fellowship at MIT. Ruth graduated with a B.A. in physics from Wellesley College and an M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
