Esther Ra

 

Esther H. Ra, Ed.D., CCMC

Esther Ra is an Associate Director at the University of Pennsylvania's Career Services, where she advises and manages professional and career development initiatives in collaboration with students, alumni, faculty, and administrators. In her role, she also leads her office's International Committee. In addition, she is a Lecturer at The Wharton School teaching first-year MBAs in the Communications Department. Dr. Ra's professional experiences span roles in research, administration, professional development, supervision, and teaching. Previously, she has also served as Visiting Faculty teaching Writing at Korea University in Seoul. Due to her work, she has a desire to support Korean American/Asian Americans' unique mental health needs in a culturally responsive manner. She received her Doctorate of Education in Language and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania, her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Teaching from Columbia University, her Bachelor of Arts in English from Barnard College, Columbia University, and a Graduate Certificate in TESOL from Biola University. She is also a Certified Career Management Coach through The Academies.
